In an interview with Lionel Cottin of the ANews Workwell platform, Pascal Gilaber, CEO of Hamilton Apps, discusses the challenges of remote work.

Don’t just put up with remote work: support the transformation of the working environment by digitalising space management. Watch the interview in this video.

The economic challenges of the growth in remote work

ANews Workwell: What does Hamilton Apps do?

Pascal Gilaber: Hamilton Apps is a software publisher operating in the smart workplace field.

Hamilton Apps is a French company that delivers technology made in France.

Companies face many issues. For example, how can I find a workspace close to my colleague? Can I find a room where I can hold confidential phone calls? How am I going to welcome a visitor?

We deliver solutions that address these issues, with visitor management, meeting room management and maintenance request solutions…

We have been in business for more than 20 years, with customers who have trusted us for several years, and we achieved 60% growth in 2022.

ANews Workwell: What are the market trends?

Pascal Gilaber: First of all, it is a global market worth more than $1 billion, growing at around 40% a year. So it is a very dynamic market, driven by the steady increase in remote work.

The challenge for companies is to optimise the square metres they use, because today a square metre or a desk is no longer provided for one employee, but for two or even three.

Tools are therefore needed to manage the optimisation of this space, because it is a major economic issue, but also for the social climate and staff satisfaction, through digitalisation that meets the expectations of employees who want to work in an environment where they feel comfortable.

ANews Workwell: Do you ensure interconnectivity?

Pascal Gilaber: Large companies face security issues, for example with their access control system or their electronic directory. We connect with all these needs.

ANews Workwell: What is new at Hamilton Apps?

Pascal Gilaber: We are moving towards mobile devices so that our solutions can be used on smartphones.

Among our innovations, we have developed specific features such as automatically reading the addresses on incoming mail.

We are going to release a workspace booking solution called “desk booking”, and we are continuing to adapt our solutions to companies of every size: we have an online sales model for small businesses, and for larger ones we respond to major tenders.

We are focusing on our international development, with the aim of increasing our share of the international market to 25% over the next three years.
